Jordan Thornton is a fine artist and medical illustrator. She excels at communicating with scientists, artists, medical professionals, and patients because she has worked with them in the field. Before pursuing a medical illustration career, Jordan worked as an arts specialist with patients and clinicians in a cancer center and a children’s hospital. She has also created numerous illustrations for publication. These experiences taught her to interact with a diverse set of audiences. With these communication skills and her training in the arts and sciences at Augusta University, Jordan aims to provide an improved experience in understanding of health, medicine, and complex scientific concepts through medical illustration.
